North Stars 2011 Academy

The North Stars Hockey Academy offers a complete program that includes the game and situational education, elite on-ice hockey development, off-ice strength and conditioning, mental training, nutritional wellness, and team and personal development.

2011 Major is a full contact division with three (3) ‘Progressive Checking Rules’. There will be an online checking clinic before the regular season begins where all athletes competing in the 2011 Major division will be educated waboutthe three modified checking rules. SThe safetyof our athletes is our #1 priority.

This Year HSL will be using TPE (The Prospects Exchange), a new market leader, which will allow our teams in contact divisions, 2011 AAA & 2011 Major, to send videos of games to be analyzed and broken down to allow users to gain insight and data on player performance.

Focus on high-end individual and Team development

30 Week Program September – March

90+ Hours of on-ice development

30+ hours of specific Power Skating, Shooting, Dryland and Hockey training with outside paid professionals
-
20+ hours of specific Formal goalie instruction throughout the season from qualified goalie instructor
-
36 games consisting of 9 Showcase weekends
-
Games will be 2 hour ice slots
-
3 - 20 Minute stopped time periods

Games ending in ties will include a 3 player shootout (time permitting)​

A team medical representative will be on the bench for all game play

Certified and experienced coaching staff are all former elite hockey players or professionals
