2013 Program Overview

Robert Lychak

Robert Lychak

Head Coach

I grew up in a small farming community east of Edmonton called Derwent. We barely had enough players to make a hockey team and as such we depended strongly on each other to compete. I learned that hard work and playing as a team vs an individual resulted in more success and growth, which helped me build up to playing at a Midget AAA level. Like many athletes at this age, I had to make a decision between hockey or schooling. I chose school which ended my competitive hockey direction.

My coaching style is to build players that expect more of themselves. Push them in all that they do, support them by holding them accountable to grow while celebrating the team’s

successes along the way.

My vision for the season is to create a supportive team environment where the players grow beyond what they believe they are capable of.
